I find it helps to remember ...
that for most of his life, Donald Trump has been a tool, an image that other people have used to make money.
Trump has gotten rich by subverting his agenda to others, allowing them to use his name and his image to recruit investors and promote projects, all while claiming that he is the boss, not the employee. This is true even of “The Apprentice,” where he LOOKS like the boss, but is in fact an employee of NBC.
His problem with the presidency is that it is unscripted. He actually IS the boss. And it scares the living hell out of him since he might be legitimately blamed for HIS choices and HIS actions.
Shit, if he wasn’t going to fuck up so much of the world, and so much of the US at the same time, I’d almost be willing to feel sorry for him. It must be hell to be Donald Trump: a scared little man inside the President of the United States.
The more terrifying thing is that I don’t think he is scared. I don’t think he’s smart enough to realize how scared be should be. Scared people freeze up. He’s pushing on like a runaway stream roller over his, dreams, and sane foreign policy.
